Ford Ranger Aluminum Flatbeds

Ranger truck beds

Aluminum beds for older and current Rangers

We've been putting aluminum beds on Ford Rangers for years, from early-2000s trucks to the current generation. Most Ranger beds we build are 6' wide by 6'6" long, with 6' × 7' for buyers who want a little more deck.

Ranger owners pick everything from a simple flatbed with 22" fold down gates to a stake bed with 33" lift out stakes, underbody tool boxes, a dock style bumper and a hitch. We've also built custom low-sided beds with 12", 15" and 16" fold down gates and a 9" tray bed.

  • Most common sizes: 6' × 6'6" and 6' × 7'
  • 22" fold down gates or 33" lift out stakes
  • Custom low gates from 9" to 16"
  • Underbody tool boxes, dock style bumper and hitch
  • Lighter than the steel bed it replaces

Why Ranger owners choose Alumbody

Lighter than steel

Less bed weight leaves more of the truck's rated capacity for the work you carry.

Won't rust

High strength 6000 series aluminum stands up to salt air, rain and road grime.

Load from the side

Fold down gates and lift out stakes open the deck from every side.

FAQ

Ranger truck bed questions

What size flatbed fits a Ford Ranger?

Most Ranger beds we build are 6' wide by 6'6" long, and some are 6' × 7'. We confirm the size against your Ranger's year and cab before quoting.

Does the Ford Ranger have an aluminum body?

Mostly no. The current Ranger has an aluminum hood and front fenders, but its cab and bed are steel; Ford's all-aluminum bodies are on the F-150 and Super Duty. An Alumbody flatbed replaces the steel bed with aluminum, so it weighs less and won't rust.

Can I add a hitch to a Ranger flatbed?

Yes. Several of our Ranger builds pair a dock style bumper with a hitch.

Can you ship the bed if I'm not in Southern California?

Yes. We install beds at our shop in Orange, California, or ship them anywhere in the U.S. palleted, shrink-wrapped and freight insured.

How do I get a price?
