Alumbody has been building lightweight, rust-free aluminum truck beds since 1978, and Toyota pickups are among the trucks we see most. A Tacoma or Tundra with an Alumbody flatbed or stake bed gets a square, full-width deck, gates that fold down or lift out, and room for tool boxes — without the weight of a steel bed.

Most Tacoma beds we build are 6' × 6'6", and most Tundra beds are 6'6" × 9'. Every bed is sized to the truck's cab and wheelbase and built in our Orange, California shop.

FAQ

Toyota truck bed questions

Do you build beds for both the Tacoma and the Tundra?

Yes. Tacoma beds are usually 6' wide and 6'6" to 7'6" long; Tundra beds are usually 6'6" wide and 7' to 9' long. See the Tacoma and Tundra pages for real builds and sizes.

Will an aluminum bed rust on a Toyota near the coast?

No. Aluminum forms a protective oxide layer instead of rusting, so an Alumbody bed holds up to salt air and wet weather far better than steel.

Can you ship the bed if I'm not in Southern California?

Yes. We install beds at our shop in Orange, California, or ship them anywhere in the U.S. palleted, shrink-wrapped and freight insured.
