Alumbody Pool Trucks

Built for chlorine, acid and a 200-stop month.

Pool service is hard on a truck. Wet hoses, dripping skimmer baskets, splashed acid, chlorine tabs, salt-cell brine — the back of a steel pickup turns into a rusting tray within a season. An aluminum pool truck bed solves that at the material level.

Low 9" and 12" fold-down sides save the tech's back over 200 stops a month. Load bars lock down the carbon-tank and trichlor bucket. A dock bumper across the rear handles chemical pickups. Marine-grade aluminum and stainless hardware — nothing rusts, nothing seizes.

  • 9" & 12" fold-down sides
  • 5052 marine-grade aluminum
  • 304 stainless hardware throughout
  • Integrated load bars & D-rings
  • Sealed chemical compartments (optional)
  • Factory bumper retained

Four Layouts

Pick the layout that matches your route

Residential routes want a low rail and fast loading. Commercial routes want sides, stakes and a sealed chemical bay. We build both.

9" Fold-Down Pool Bed

Lowest rail — fastest loading

9" solid fold-down sides drop flat against the truck so a tech can grab a 5-gallon jug or a leaf-rake without lifting over a tall rail. Standard on the Tacoma and Ranger builds — the lowest-fatigue layout for a daily route truck.

Typical size
6' × 6'6" up to 6' × 7'
Best for
  • Tacoma / Ranger / Frontier
  • Solo-tech route trucks
  • Residential service

12" Fold-Down Pool Bed

More sidewall — still easy reach

12" sides give a little more containment for hoses, totes and a carbon-tank without making the bed harder to load. The middle-ground spec on a half-ton or full-size pickup — most fleet builds end up here.

Typical size
6'6" × 7' up to 6'6" × 8'
Best for
  • F-150 / Silverado 1500 / Ram 1500
  • Half-ton fleet trucks
  • Mixed residential + commercial

Stake-Bed with Lift-Outs

Tall sides for filter media & D.E.

When the truck hauls bags of D.E., filter media, soda ash and replacement pumps, we step up to a stake-bed with 25" – 33" lift-out sides on a 3/4-ton or Sprinter chassis. Pull the stakes out for a flat deck when you need it.

Typical size
7' × 9' up to 7'6" × 14'
Best for
  • F-250 / Sprinter 3500
  • Commercial pool service
  • Filter & equipment routes

Chemical-Compartment Build

Sealed chemical bay separated from tools

Dedicated sealed aluminum compartment for liquid chlorine, muriatic acid and trichlor — vented, gasketed and physically separated from the tool storage. The configuration we recommend for routes that carry chemistry in volume.

Typical size
Custom — drawn to your chemical load
Best for
  • Commercial pool routes
  • Chemical delivery
  • Service + delivery hybrid trucks
Why Aluminum for Pool Service

What you get on every build

Chemical-Proof Aluminum

5052 marine-grade sheet and 6061 extruded rails don't rust, don't pit from chlorinated water, and shed acid splash with a rinse. Steel beds last a season — these last 200,000 miles.

Stainless Hardware Throughout

Every hinge, latch and pin is 304 stainless. Nothing seizes after a winter of brine and salt-cell residue.

Load Bars & Tie-Downs

Integrated load bars lock down the carbon-tank, trichlor bucket and test-kit case. D-ring tie-downs on a 24" grid for hose reels, leaf rakes and brushes.

Factory Bumper Stays

We cut the body to clear your OEM rear bumper so the receiver hitch and tow plug stay functional — important when the trailer goes in for a remodel haul.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Will chlorine, acid and salt-cell brine damage the aluminum?

No. Chlorine, muriatic acid and salt-cell brine don't attack aluminum the way they corrode steel. A weekly rinse keeps the finish bright — that's the entire maintenance routine.

Can I keep my factory tailgate or bumper?

The factory tailgate is removed as part of the conversion, but the rear bumper and receiver hitch stay. Our beds are cut to clear the OEM bumper line so towing capacity is unaffected.

What's the right truck for a route — Tacoma or F-150?

Tacoma if the route is residential and the techs are loading and unloading at every stop — the lower deck height saves a back over an 8-hour day. F-150 if the route mixes residential and commercial, or if filter changes are part of the work.

Do you offer fleet pricing for pool service companies?

Yes. Multi-unit builds get standardized specs, a consistent layout across the fleet and tiered pricing on builds of 3+ trucks. Send us your fleet size and we'll quote in one bundle.
